Firestone Ag celebrated its 75th anniversary of its Des Moines, Iowa plant in 2020. To honor the longevity of Firestone Ag tire production at this plant, Firestone wanted to create a series of videos documenting the plants history and the people behind the scenes making these long-lasting tires.

This special series of “Made in Des Moines” print ads continue the Farm Hard messaging to farmers and growers about where their tires comes from, and the passionate people making them in Des Moines, Iowa.
In this first installment of Firestone’s Made in Des Moines series, the women and men of the ag tire plant share their first-hand experience with the hard work that goes into building a product that they can take pride in. Since 1945, generations of Iowans just like these individuals have dedicated themselves to building tires that keep the farmers of the world moving in the field with as little interruption as possible. This is their story.
In the second episode of Firestone’s Made in Des Moines series, we explore the origination of the Firestone Ag plant and the advancements made over the years. Since 1945, the plant has withstood the test of time and has continued to adapt. Hear from employees how important technology has advanced, and how process evolution has allowed them to continue to support farmers who Farm Hard. This is a story of change.
The opportunity to be on set in the factory with the crew was crucial in how we could build the story about the plant and the people making the tires. In addition, I was able to capture some behind the scenes photos during production.
